︎ MEET THE BOARD
Fritz Haeg, (San Francisco/Albion) as the Founding Director of SCA and resident of Salmon Creek Farm he has been immersed in the revival of the property since purchasing it from the original communards in 2014. His ecological, domestic, and socially focused artworks have been extensively produced, exhibited, and published internationally for over 20 years.
Scott Campbell (New York City) is the Director of Campaign Advancement for the New Museum in New York City - previously Vice President of Institutional Development for amfAR and Executive Director of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. He grew up in Mendocino County, nurturing a life-long passion for the northern California coast and redwoods.
Nicolás Colón (San Francisco) is the founder of Climate Control, a contemporary art gallery in San Francisco's Mission district, where he was born and raised. He returned in 2023 after a decade of living in Mexico City. Colón is an artist and organized the itinerant curatorial project, Dark Arts International.
Malik Gaines (San Diego) is a performer, writer, composer, and associate professor of visual arts at UC San Diego. He is author of “Black Performance on the Outskirts of the Left: A History of the Impossible,” a member of the performance group My Barbarian, and co-artistic director of The Industry opera company in Los Angeles.
Shannon Holloway (New York) is Treasurer of SCA, a Performance Poet, Activist, and Dharma Coach. She has an MFA, half an MBA, and over twelve years of experience providing strategic financial guidance to non-profits, start-ups, and large businesses. Having served as both a Chief Financial Officer and Advanced Open Water Diver, she has a proven track record overseeing all aspects of fundraising, financial management, reef squid, and growth strategy.
Tsion Ekema ‘Sunshine’ Lencho (Los Angeles) leads teams building global organizations. An art history major turned attorney, her career has spanned several industries, including arts policy, digital health, wellness, and cannabis/hemp. Ms. Lencho brings her operations, finance, and regulatory experience to her role as Board member for Salmon Creek Arts.
Dylan McLaughlin (Austin) is secretary of SCA and a multidisciplinary artist. His work engages with ecologies of extraction, threatened ecosystems, Diné mythology, and environmental histories. He is currently an Early Career Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching Performance Art in the College of Fine Arts.
Rose Schlossberg (Los Angeles/Ojai) is an artist, filmmaker, writer and producer, known for End Times Girls Club, Small Gay Tragedy #1 (2022), and Houses (2015). She is currently working on the screenplay and pre-production for a feature length film set on a women’s commune in the redwoods of Northern California that she plans to shoot and direct in 2024.
Ari Shapiro (Washington DC) is a journalist, writer, and singer. He is an anchor of NPR's All Things Considered, author of the bestselling memoir “The Best Strangers in the World: Stories from a Life Spent Listening,” and as a singer has performed in some of the world’s most storied venues, from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl.
Gui Veloso (San Francisco) is a curator and organizer from Rio de Janeiro, with degrees in Foreign Affairs and Museum Studies. He founded The Accordion Shop—a hybrid concept store and gallery housed within the David Ireland House, where Veloso heads Communications and Community Partnerships at 500 Capp Street.
